TUNNEL TUESDAY: CLOSED FOR SPRING CLEANING

Well hello there felines.  So I goes to my tunnel in the wee hours of the morn...and what do I find?  My tunnel was closed for spring cleaning!  Neytiri was dusting the tunnel and doing some maintenance on it.  She said there is a very special event coming up next Tuesday, March 5, 2013 and that the tunnel needs to be spic and span and in top-notch shape...

Welcome Audience to On The Red Carpet: Cloon's Oscar Review.  We likes our Academy Awards here at Headquarters so it is a tradition for us to do a review of the event. 

 

Neytiri and I are decked-out in our finest for the evening...

To begin, we shall highlight a few of the films nominated for "Best Motion Picture": 

AMOUR (a tail of two kitties very smitten by one another that met online through plentyofbirdies.com) 

ZERO DARK THIRTY (chronicles a feline, who shall remain unnamed, that demands Num-Nums in the wee hours of the morn and stops at nothing to get them...)

LIFE OF PIE PI ( features a kitty who has taken baking lessons from Martha Stewart and is completely obsessed with pastry)

TUNNEL TUESDAY: TAKE A LOOK AT THEESE ONE!

 

Well hello there felines.  So I goes to my tunnel in the wee hours of the morn...and what do I find?  There waiting for me was a coffee mug...But just wait a minute felines...I think theese one was meant for my Human!

 

 

My Human likes to collect coffee mugs especially if it involves cats, so she was very excited that the tunnel had something for her today!

 

 

Neytiri is giving the coffee mug a closer look...

 

 

Here I am posing with it.  And I couldn't agree more with the message on the mug...who needs a therapist when they have us kitties around!  Don't you agree with me felines?  Let's have a show of paws...Plus there's more cashola left over to buy some extra Num-Nums if we purr-forms the therapy ourselves!

BLOGOVERSARY VALENTINE'S EXTRAVAGANZA CATNIPALOOZA

Welcome Audience to our Blogoversary!  We started our blog on Valentine's Day in 2009.  Today we are also having a Valentine's Extravaganza.  Here is Neytiri, behind the scenes, getting ready for the event.

She is checking out the heart-shaped balloon...

And cannot resist giving it a bit of a swat...

Here I am, among many balloons, getting a bit of a rest before theese par-tay really gets started...

 

I have just spotted "Ducky" hanging out on top of the tunnel...

And I decide to investigate theese matter a bit further...

In celebration of Valentine's Day, Neytiri has a message for her special Mancat Archie:

We have a tradition at Headquarters of asking someone to be our Valentine each year...

Here is a clue for who we are asking theese year...Hmm, a letter "C"...any guesses?

I'z pulling out all the stops and wearing my super-duper Valentine's bow tie...Do you think she will say "yes"?  Here goes...

TUNNEL TUESDAY

TUNNEL TUESDAY: IT'S MARDI GRAS!

Well hello there felines.  So I goes to my tunnel in the wee hours of the morn...and what do I find?  My tunnel was all decorated for Mardi Gras!  Isn't that fun felines!  Now remember the tips Uncle Cloon has given you in previous years...If you want one of theese lovely strings of beads to chew on to wear around your neck...you must shout...

What do you need to shout Audience? 

"Throw me something Mister!"

Now which feline at Headquarters will be the King or Queen of Mardi Gras 2013?  Who will step through the tunnel to be crowned?

Will it be Clooney?

Or will it be the lovely Neytiri?

And it looks like Clooney is the first to be making his way through the tunnel.  He pauses to try the reigning Mardi Gras mask on for size...

And it's official!  The Cloon is the first to make his way completely through the tunnel thus earning the coveted title of "King of Mardi Gras 2013"!

Because it is "Fat Tuesday", Cloon has requested that he be pampered with some extra Num-Nums in celebration of his victory!

Well hello there felines.  So I goes to my tunnel in the wee hours of the morn...and what do I find?  There waiting for me was an unknown object! 

Here let me give you all a better look at theese one:

Does any kitty know what it may be?  Or does anyone out there have one of theese ones to play with?

Guess what felines?  I tested out my new toy and took some good swipes at it...

And I give it a 4-paws-up rating!  It's awesome and very lightweight!  I got it off the carpet onto the floor and it really rolled good!  It's my new favorite toy now!    I thinks I will call it my U.R.O. (Unidentified Rolling Object).

REPORTING ON GROUNDHOG DAY FROM THE CLINK... IS STAN THE WORLD'S SMALLEST SHEEP

 

 

Cloon:  Hello there Audience!  Welcome to our Annual Groundhog Day Report.  Joining me today, on the phone line, is Stan The World's Smallest Sheep to report on the Groundhog Day findings of February 2, 2013.  For those ones not familiar with Stan, his first language is Spanish but he does speak some English as well.  This is his 4th year providing us with his insider's information on Groundhog Day.  Welcome Stan!

 

Stan: Gracias!  Hola Cloon!

 

Cloon: The suspense is a little too much for me...Can you let us know what all the famous Groundhogs predicted?

 

Stan: Si, si Senor!  Ontario’s Wiarton Willie, Pennsylvania's Punxsutawney Phil, Ohio’s Buckeye Chuck and New York’s Staten Island Chuck all did not see their shadows, so they each predict an early spring. However, Nova Scotia’s Shubenacadie Sam, Quebec's Fred and Georgia’s General Beauregard Lee did see their shadows and predict more winter.

 

Cloon: Chuck is a popular name for a Groundhog, isn't it?

 

Stan: It appears so.

 

Cloon: Oh but Stan...you forgot one Groundhog from the mix theese year.  What about Balzac Billy from Alberta?  He's the one closest to us...

 

Stan: Imposter!

 

Cloon: Watcha talkin' 'bout Willis?

 

Stan: Well I was surfing the net the night before the Annual Pancake Breakfast that I was planning to attend to witness Balzac Billy in person...when all of a sudden I came across the information that Balzac Billy was never a real Richardson ground squirrel...

 

Cloon: Say what?

 

Stan: Balzac Billy is a human in a gopher suit!

 

Cloon: Say it ain't so...

 

Stan: So I went to the breakfast and started a protest...before I knew it, the po-lice was headed my way...so I started to eat all the leaves I could find before they took me into custody!

 

 

 

Cloon: And what's happening now?

 

Stan: Well, I'm calling you from the clink...you're my one phone call!

 

Cloon: Oy, yoy, yoy!  Ok, I'z going to post your bail pronto!  How much is it?

 

Stan: One Million Dollars!

 

Cloon: No problemo, amigo...consider yourself sprung!
