ADVENT TUNNEL TUESDAY - ADVENT MITTEN 1

Well hello there felines.  So I goes to my tunnel in the late hours of the day...and what do I find?  There waiting for me was the Advent Mitten 1 and a sign about deers...  Hmm, what do you make about theese one?  And can you believe it's December 1st already and the start of the Advent Calendar Countdown to Christmas?

All of a sudden, I heard a rustle and there out my kitchen window was the deers!  This was the purrfect opportunity to seal the deal for Catmas Eve and get the deers to sign a contract to help Ol' Clooney Claus out...

Then Neytiri had a brilliant idea...She decided to entice the deer with promises of her infamous Martha Stewart baked goodies and her special Catnip Lattes...

Upon hearing this, the deers' ears perked and they became more interested in working on Catmas Eve...I even decided to sweeten the deal with throwing in some Num-Nums for good measure...

This little guy got really excited about the Num-Nums offer and came out of hiding!  Then something very cool happened...

We hope you are able to view the above video showing the 6 newest members of Clooney Claus's Catmas Eve team!  I can't believes my luck this year!  I will be able to visit more felines both naughty and nice with all the deerpower for sure...

Last year, we had so much fun counting down the days to Catmas with the Advent Mittens each day in December.  This year we will be featuring Advent surprises in the tunnel each Tuesday in December.  We also want to express our appreciation for you, our blogging furriends.  We have been behind in visiting and commenting this past while and we want you all to know that everyone and everykitty is always in our thoughts and hearts and we hope to catch up with everyone in the next few weeks.

TUNNEL TUESDAY

TUNNEL TUESDAY: SNOWPOCALYPSE!

Well hello there felines.  So I goes to my tunnel in the early hours of the morn...and what do I find?  Wait a minute...my tunnel is outside in a snowbank!

And Mini-Cloon is having a hay day out in the snow too!  It's been snowing for two days and we received a record snowfall where we live and the plows have not yet made it out...

And it gets better...The woofie from next door is approaching...He is expecting an order of specialty biscuits that my long-lost cousin Cloonski Ogorki was bringing with him from Old Country.  The woofie had placed his order one whole year ago, the last time Cloonski was in Canada. 

Here he is expecting the goods...

I whisper to Neytiri to let him down gently.  You see, the snowpocalypse has affected all flights coming into our city and they have all been cancelled.  Thus my cousin is stranded and MIA with the dog biscuits...

As seen in the video, upon getting his attention, Neytiri communicates the disturbing news and the woofie starts to cry...

He exits stage left saying that next time, he will place his order on ebay...

Oh, oh.  Clooney Claus's Deers have now arrived on the scene as they were promised a perogy supper for Ukrainian Christmas tonight, we now have to break the news to them that the perogy supper is cancelled...

Upon hearing this disappointing news, they run down the mountain to order Chinese take-out...

Meanwhile my long-lost cousin Cloonski Ogorki is...

Stranded at the aeropuerto, feeling like a fool, he ate the dog's biscuits...what will he do?

Catmas Eve & Advent Mitten 24

And we made it to Advent Mitten 24...Whew!
It brings us a special Christmas Bear to be delivered to a special friend this Catmas Eve...

Neytiri got the bear ready in the shopping cart just in case those deers don't show up to pull the sled like last year...
As you can see, I am not impressed by the mere thought of this...

Then Ducky had an idea to turn on the Christmas lights to lure the deers up the mountain...

And by George Ducky, I think this worked!  I hear something...

Sure enough, Clooney Claus's Deers have arrived on the scene! 

After delivering the Christmas Bear, Clooney Claus will be on his way to deliver all the catnip mice to felines naughty and nice...

Well, I guess I better "suit-up"...
...and take a selfie!

Advent Mittens 4 & 5

Advent Mittens 4 and 5 bring us a Christmas lights tour by Mini-Cloon...

Here we are outside Headquarters...

And then we round the bend to the backyard where...

 

Clooney Claus's Deer have shown up on the scene to investigate the Christmas lights they have spotted from down the mountain...

Yep, they stopped by to say they will help ol' Clooney Claus out this year...

 

Catnip Mice will be delivered to all kitties naughty and nice!  Hooray!

 

Mini-Cloon then did some Christmas visiting and found himself hangin' around on this pretty tree above...

And then he went to take pictures of the Tree of Hope...

The Tree of Hope is lit every year in our community and is over 120 feet tall with 36,000 lights.  It donates funds each year to local charities and symbolizes generosity and compassion.

TUNNEL TUESDAY TIDBITS: THE DEERS

 Well hello there felines.  Welcome to the second installment of  "Tunnel Tuesday Tidbits"...
One morning I was minding my p's and q's, just about to eat my morning Num-Nums, when I heard someone calling to me...Out the kitchen window was the following sight... 

Two young deers were staring at us from down below...Apparently they had seen theese sign in the countryside and made their way to Headquarters...

I explained that we had forgotten to take down the sign as the Num-Nums Focus Group was over a coon's age ago...

Not happy with this news, I was given the "backside of disrespect"...

And then Mama deer appeared on the scene and the baby deers went straight to the "milk bar" as no Num-Nums were forthcoming...

 

And once again, the deers ventured forth...

I got up the gumption to ask them if they would help out Ol' Clooney Claus this season and pull the sled because frankly last year pushing my shopping cart was mighty tiring...

Their ears "perked" at the sound of what was promised to them if they became part of my crew...

And then they were off, agreeing to return on Christmas Eve...

Catmas Eve With Clooney Claus

Excuse me, excuse me...coming through...

It's Catmas Eve and we are down to the wire here at Headquarters!
I'z doing a final check on the goods I will be delivering to felines both naughty and nice.

Ducky's made a list.

Neytiri's checked it twice.

We already know who needs

nip and mice.

Clooney Claus is coming to your town...

today...(maybe...depends on the deers)

Neytiri has done a final inspection on the Elves and I have "suited-up"... 

I am patiently waiting...

And waiting some more...
Surely my deers will be arriving at any moment to help me out...

Wait a minute...is that hooves we hear?

Remember my deers from last year that helped me out?
Well I have had no sign of them this year...
I bets they are hanging out at Nellie's blinged-up Reindeer Stable!
Oh oh.  This means one thing...
Ol' Clooney Claus will be hoofin' it on his own this year and pushing his shopping cart!

Neytiri is testing out the wheels on the shopping cart and it's a good thing she had winter wheels put on with all theese icy road conditions...

Be watching for Clooney Claus and his shopping cart in a neighbourhood near you!  And for Cod's sake has some Hot Nip Toddies waiting for me, will ya?

WORDY WEDNESDAY - DEER TV

Hello Audience, I have some very interesting news for you...I awoke to Deer TV in the early hours of the morn! 

Neytiri and I watched the deers for 3 whole hours!  They ate grass and did some relaxing, also taking in the view. 

All of a sudden, I got a brilliant idea!  I decided to ask the deers to help me out on Christmas Eve...I figured theese one had really good ears so I decided to make him the leader of the group.  I called to them out the window and asked them if they would sign a contract to pull the sleigh of Clooney Claus in exchange for Num-Nums, Neytiri's home baking and the odd haytini...  

Eagerly, they rose to their feets and started to head up to Headquarters to sign a contract to provide sleigh service for Christmas Eve.  After a sampling of the promised goods and a few high fives, the deal was done...Stay tuned Audience!  And remember to get your list ready for Clooney Claus...I will be visiting both naughty and nice kitties to deliver the goods...
