Well hello there felines. It's
"Walkabout Wednesday" and my tunnel is still working its way through the big country of Australia...
My tunnel is on the lookout for wild kangaroos...
And it spotted this "mob" of roos near Merry Beach in New South Wales...
A group of kangaroos is referred to as a mob...
In 2011, it was estimated that 34.3 million kangaroos lived in Australia...Can you believe it? That's almost the amount of people that live in our country of Canada (population: 35.16 million in 2013)!
Theese "mobs" are taking over!
My tunnel got up close to a little kangaroo in another location...
And then the roo grabbed the camera and took a selfie, too bad it's not Sunday!
Kangaroos usually hop at a speed of between 20-25 km/h (13-16 mph) and can also get up to speeds of 40-70 km/h (25-44 mph) for shorter distances...
For your viewing pleasure, here is a video of the kangaroos...
Join us next Wednesday for our new series "Walkabout Wednesday".
I've heard those kangaroos are tough!
