THE AMAZING TUNNEL CHASE: FIRST PIT STOP = SIN CITY (PART 2)

Well hello there felines.  When we last left off, Mini-Cloon had been given his first clues in hot pursuit of Varmit The Marmot and he had completed his first "Detours" at Katnip Lounge .  When he successfully finished theese ones he was handed off his next "Detour": Gamble Your Dinero or Sip A Cocktail Poolside...

Mini-Cloon being the gamblin' man he is...headed straight for the Las Vegas strip... 

He parked himself at a slot machine at the famous Caesars Palace, plugged some cashola into the machine, played the Maximum Bet and voila...
HE WON ME SOME DINERO!  Isn't that fantastic, Audience?  The little guy won $43.60!  That should buy me a couple cases of Num-Nums when Mini-Cloon finally makes it back to Headquarters!

Leaving Caesars Palace, Mini-Cloon bumped right smack-dab into Elvis!  Can you believe it, felines?  Elvis who may have been on some mighty good "catnip" was such an agreeable fellow to pose with Mini-Cloon, dontcha think?  (Psst Audience, it's Cloon's Human, I actually gave "Elvis" 2 bucks to pose with Mini-Cloon...)

Mini-Cloon being quite star-struck by Elvis, marched right into Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville to celebrate the meeting!  He stationed himself by a GIANT margarita blender to complete his next "Detour"...

His next "Detour" was: Sip A Cocktail Poolside...

Uh, wait a minute...this isn't "poolside" and if Mini-Cloon plans on diving into that GIANT blender, he may be in trouble!  I mean the little guy can barely hold his own with a mini-mug of ale...Yikes!
And Mini-Cloon better not be spending all my casino winnings on theese margaritas! 

Good thing that my Human kept him on the straight and narrow and they exited stage left pretty darn quick!  When they passed by the famous Fountains of the Bellagio, Mini-Cloon full of "liquid courage" wanted to dive-in but my Human put the kibosh on that!

Mini-Cloon arriving miraculously in one piece having successfully completed his "Detour" found his next clue at the Las Vegas airport...

It directed him to the Next Pit Stop of: The Land Of Enchantment...

Hmm, Audience, does anyone know where he is off to?  And what about Varmit The Marmot?  Where is theese guy and where is my missing tunnel?  I need some answers...

I'm a bit late for Straw Hat Day but I donned my hat anyway as I contemplated what Mini-Cloon was up to in Vegas...

THE AMAZING TUNNEL CHASE: FIRST PIT STOP = SIN CITY

Well hello there felines.  When we left off last time, Mini-Cloon was about to embark on "The Amazing Tunnel Chase" in hot pursuit of Varmit The Marmot...The first clue was to make his way to his first Pit Stop in Vegas...

 Mini-Cloon arrived on the scene at BlogPaws and had a mini red velvet cupcake to power-up...

He met up with the lovely Plush Ashton from Sometimes Cats Herd You and enlisted her help to find Varmit The Marmot, but to no avail...

 

And then he spotted his first "Detour" clue in the lobby of the hotel...He was directed to the infamous Katnip Lounge and chauffeured there by none other than Lounge Daddy...

The "Detour" stated that he must "Hang Out On The Catio" with all the cool cats...

Above he is posing with KonaKitty who is all comfy-cozy in a heated cat bed...

And who do you think this tail belongs to?  It is none other than Maui....

And then I did a double-take!  Wow, theese guy looks exactly like me!  It is my twin Rupert...

He came down from on high to meet Mini-Cloon and allowed Mini-Cloon to complete his next "Detour" of "Meet One Of Cloon's Twins"...

Since Mini-Cloon is a high achiever, he ended up meeting my 2nd twin at Katnip Lounge as well!  The lovely Ladycat Miss Grayce gave Mini-Cloon some serious luvvins which was a highlight for him!

 And then Mini-Cloon posed with the lovely Cat Ladies who were attending BlogPaws and were invited to tour the catio at Katnip Lounge.  Uh, Mini-Cloon definitely likes the Ladies...like I said before, he is a chip off the ol' Cloon...

The lovely Miss Salem is posing in front of the group as well...

Thanks to Lounge Mommy who was super-sweet and such a great sport, Mini-Cloon went off in search of Johnny to complete the "Detour" of "Meet Cloon's Mancat Crush"...

Johnny was camping out with his famous entourage of CC and Scouty and gave Mini-Cloon the "backside" of disrespect!  Seriously, I don't blame the guy!

And then "it" happened...

Johnny made his appearance on the catio in the arms of Lounge Daddy!

You see Audience, this was a very big moment for us here at Headquarters as we all crush on Johnny and to meet him in purrson was a dream come true!  Yep, Johnny is my Mancat Crush and Mini-Cloon completed his "Detour" by posing with him in close proximity...

TUNNEL CHASE TUESDAY: O' TUNNEL, WHERE ART THOU?

Well hello there felines.  So when we left off last week, Neytiri went back to her kitchen and she gasped as she looked on the counter and saw that her cookies had been arranged into the word "TIM"...and into the word "TOM"...

She let out a big meow and I ran into the kitchen and witnessed the spectacle myself...
Suddenly, it dawned on me...the words were backwards!  They were meant to spell out "MIT" and "MOT"...as in VarMIT The MarMOT!
 

I returned to the foyer to address the "Final Unusual Suspect"...and Varmit The Marmot was nowhere to be found!  The deers said he took off at full speed without so much as a good-bye!  My furs were ruffled by this and I had to give the deers the disappointing news that no more cookies would be served and that the Num-Nums Taste Test was cancelled...They left Headquarters in search of flowers to snack on... 

I headed to the backyard of Headquarters where the landscaping crew was gathered...No one was talking.  It was impossible to spot Varmit The Marmot in the crowd...

When instructed to form an "Unusual Suspects Line-Up" in return  for free Num-Nums, the marmots  arranged themselves accordingly...Everymarmot looked exactly the same! 

I managed to get theese little guy on his own and I just knew he was a "talker"!  Sure enough...when promised some extra Num-Nums he "spilled the beans"!  He said he noticed Varmit The Marmot playing "hopscotch" a few moments ago and told me to take a gander at the sidewalk...

On the sidewalk, where the little Marmot had pointed to was a secret message!  It said "What happens in..."

I put my thinking cap back on, took a look at the drawing of a lucky, four-leaf clover and deciphered the message to be part of a famous saying: "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas."

When I went back inside, I couldn't believe my eyes!  Neytiri said that a mysterious note had shown up outside our front door...

 It is our 1st Clue in "The Amazing Tunnel Chase"...

It said "Make Your Way To Your First Pit Stop: Sin City".

Mini-Cloon has "suited-up" with his formal bow tie and packed his suitcase...He is headed to Sin City to chase down Varmit The Marmot!
 

While in Vegas looking for a clue as to the whereabouts of Varmit The Marmot and my missing tunnel, my two Purrsonal Assistants: My Human and Mini-Cloon will attend BlogPaws!
