ON THE RED BLANKIE: CLOON'S OSCAR REVIEW

Well hello there Audience.  Welcome to my Red Blankie Oscar Review.  I gots all comfy with my popcorn and parked myself in front of the TV to watch the 83rd Annual Academy Awards.  Theese is a  tradition at Headquarters as my Human likes to watch the awards and I likes to gets a tummy massage while I cuddles up next to her.  Without further ado, I will do my review and present a few awards...

VON ICE ENTERPRISES BEST DRESSED AWARD goes to Jennifer Hudson.  My friend Mr. L nominated theese lovely lady because her gown was beautiful and she looked amazing.  (Also, the color of her dress was "tangerine" and it reminds him of his best friend, the orange dog toy, "The Baby".)

"GIRLFRIEND'S" WARM FUZZIES AWARD goes to Sandra Bullock.  She was the best presenter and she is so cute, classy, funny and nice.  We likes our Sandy.

CLOON'S OSCAR PICK goes to Natalie Portman.  Theese is because she is a nice person and she starred as a "swan" and that is part of the bird family and I likes my birdies.

NEYTIRI'S OSCAR CRUSH goes to Mark Darcy...uh I mean Colin Firth.  She says he is funny, charming, handsome and she admits to secretly watching Bridget Jones's Diary over and over and over...

I hopes you enjoyed the Oscars tonight Audience.  I bid you a good evening.

TUNNEL TUESDAY

TUNNEL TUESDAY: TAKE A LOOK AT THEESE ONE!!!

Hello there felines.  So I goes to my "tunnel" in the wee hours of the morn and imagine my disappointment when nothing is there!  I was quite sad.  So I spoke really nicely to my tunnel, had a little conversation (one-sided that is) and asked if it was doing ok etc. etc.  It was quite quiet around there...  So I went back to sleep until Num-Nums time in the morning.  Then when I entered the room again, lo' and behold there sat a pair of 3D GLASSES, my very own pair of 3D glasses!  Isn't that fantastic felines?  I must admit that I secretly wanted a pair of theese 3D Glasses since Avatar had hit the theatres last year.  I was quite jealous of Mr. L's pair of 3D Glasses when he had reviewed Avatar.  Now it is way too late to see Avatar with my 3D Glasses but I can still make Justin Bieber's 3D Movie.  I thinks I'll get my Human to take me theese weekend.  I'll wear my little trench coat and smuggle my Num-Nums into the theatre with me...Hmm, theese keeps sounding better and better...

JOIN ME EACH TUESDAY FELINES FOR OTHER MAGICAL AND MYSTERIOUS APPEARANCES IN MY "TUNNEL".

The 2010 Annual PURR-FUR-MANCE Review

Hello there Audience.  Let's get "The 2010 Annual PURR-FUR-MANCE Review" underway, shall we?  Our Human will be reviewed by me Clooney, Neytiri, Pierre Du Port (one of my Assistants at Headquarters who happens to be a dog toy wearing the red hoodie) and "Ducky" (Neytiri's best friend, the little yellow duck).

We all played rock-paper-scissors to determine the order of who would be speaking.  It shall proceed theese way: "Ducky", Pierre Du Port, Neytiri and then me Clooney.

"Ducky":  Quack, quack, quack... (just messin' with ya!) Ok, now I'm ready.  I give our Human a 4 PAWS rating (of course I have to borrow Neytiri's paws because I don't really have paws...).  I base this decision on the fact that The Human is always concerned about my whereabouts and panics when she can't find me.  So she is always looking out for me and pulling me out from under things and I really appreciate that.  Of course she does include me in the blog also which is the whole purpose of this review.  I get to do interesting things like bake pies in the easy-bake oven, run the fax machine, dust and I did get to announce the blogs that received The Stylish Blogger Award.

Pierre Du Port:  Bonjour Mes Amis! For those of you who don't know my story, I was rescued from the Canal in Montreal and then came to live with Cloon at Headquarters.  I was Acting Secretary after "Girlfriend" had gone to kitty heaven and before Neytiri came to live at Headquarters.  So I got to do many interesting things in the past year.  But THE most interesting by far was when I went with The Human on a backpacking trip to Australia.  I saw kangaroos, met woofies from Down Under, hung out at Bondi Beach as a lifeguard and had a walk-on role in a Cowboy & Western movie in the Australian Outback.  So I give The Human a 2 BIG FEET (because I only have 2 big feet and no paws) rating which would be the equivalent to 4 PAWS.

Neytiri: Hello there Audience!  I really love my Human and purr most of the time when I see her so I will have to give her a high rating...In my short time at Headquarters I have purr-ticipated in many interesting things and stories.  Now, I do not like to have my picture taken so I am known to make things difficult in this department but I AM getting more blog time with some good photos my Human happens to get like for Wordless Wednesdays.  My one tiny complaint is that the things that appear magically in the "tunnel" tend to be for Clooney and I would like to share more in the magic department.  However, I still give my Human a 4 HAIRY PAWS rating.

Cloon:  Well hello there folks.  Ok, now theese is a very interesting review because mainly I writes the stories on theese blog and then I just dictates them to my Human so she can types them up.  So, essentially I'z reviewing myself... So, essentially I has to gives myself a 4 PAWS rating because I'z the Cloon.  Now let me just talk about some room for improvement...My Human did leave me to go to Australia last year and I WAS sad.  Now I did stay at "Squirrel Sanctuary" with my Grandma and I did have lots of action in the squirrel and birdie department so theese was excellent.  However the quantity of our blog posts did go down because my Human was not around to type up my stories...Another thing is we tend to miss alot of the chat rooms and fun events with dj's and niptinis etc.  My Human seems to miss the day of theese events so she needs to be more organized in theese department so I can go visiting and attend theese paw-pawties.

Well there you have it folks, looks like we has a PURR-FECT rating...

(Cloon to his Human, "OK, now where are theese NUM-NUMS I was promised for giving you a good review?"...)

TUNNEL TUESDAY

Well hello there felines!  Because I was still up from all the day's festivities, I decided to try to sneak up on my "tunnel" to see if I could catch it in the act of producing its magic.  So I took a peek inside and then ever so  quietly I crept through my tunnel to get to the side where things usually appear.  Neytiri was also very curious so she followed me into the tunnel to see what was happening.   And then guess what we saw felines?...Are you ready?

The tunnel had left us a message.  A HEART appeared out of nowhere.  I thinks my tunnel LOVES me.  That's right.  You heard me correctly.  MY TUNNEL LOVES ME!  I couldn't believe my eyes!  I think theese is a sign that more good things are to come...

Join me each TUESDAY felines for other magical and mysterious appearances in my "tunnel".

BLOGOVERSARY & CLOONEY'S VALENTINE'S EXTRAVAGANZA

Hello Audience.  Happy Valentine's Day to you all!  We have a lot going on today at Headquarters as it is our 2nd Blogoversary.  That's right folks, I'z been blogging for Num-Nums for 2 whole years!  (It's a tough job but somebody's gotta do it.) Besides that, I'z throwing a Valentine's bash whereby I'z giving away little gift bags of Num-Nums to any felines who show up at my front door today to partake in theese festivities.  Also, joining me in-studio is Love Expert, Dr. Love who will be sharing his wisdom with the Audience.  Welcome Dr. Love!

Dr. Love: Thank you.  Thank you very much.

Cloon: So it looks like you've come prepared with some Valentine's props.  Can you tell us a little about them?

Dr. Love: Uh, yes, well...since the weather has been a bit nippy, I brought my fuzzy red "ankle warmers" with me.  And they go with the occasion, I might add.

Cloon: Uh, I don't think theese ones are "ankle warmers"...But I'z going to let that one go for now...I see you have brought a deck of cards with you.  Can you tell us about theese ones?

Dr. Love: Affirmative.  Now this little deck is a real gem I tell you.  It's a great icebreaker for romantic dates when you are feeling a little shy, awkward or tongue-tied...Then all you do is pick a card and ask your date a question.  This makes for some excellent conversations.

Cloon: Hit me.

Dr. Love: (picks a card from the deck and begins to read...) Have you ever spent any quality time with a squirrel?

Cloon: Uh, theese doesn't sound like a very "romantic" card to me...Are you sure theese one belongs in the deck?

Dr. Love: Oh, wait a minute...I think it may have found its way in by accident.  I'll pick another one for you. Ok. If you would get a tattoo, what would it be and where would you put it?

Cloon: I would have a can of Num-Nums tattooed on my bicep.

Dr. Love: Now that would be an excellent conversation starter...and I'm sure the romance would just progress from there...

Cloon: Do you have any advice you can give us regarding love and romance on Valentine's Day?

Dr. Love: I'm afraid I don't "lick and tell"...

Cloon: Well there you have it folks, some tips to spice up your Valentines!  Now, because it is tradition to ask someone to be your Valentine, Neytiri and I have decided to do theese as well.  Back on Christmas Eve when Clooney Claus got stranded at the North Pole, he lost a bit of time and ended up missing some Num-Nums deliveries.  My friends in the desert were waiting in their lounge full of katnip for Clooney Claus and alas he did not make it.  So I'm asking each of them to be my Valentine.  KonaKitty, The Baby, Grayce, Tiny Johnson, Felix, Rupert, Scouty, CC, Sweet Pea, Maui, May Ling,  Salem, and Sylvester will you be my Valentines?  (I should mention that theese offer comes with Num-Nums...) So how 'bout now?

And our little lady Neytiri has a wee bit of a crush on Slash from 5-Cat Style & The Flyer.  So, Neytiri wants to ask Slash to be her Valentine...

In closing we want to wish you all a Happy Valentine's Day!  Remember to leave the lady feline in your life the last lick of Num-Nums and serve your Human "biscuits" in bed while expressing how much you really "knead" them...

GROUNDHOG DAY WITH "STAN THE WORLD'S SMALLEST SHEEP"

Cloon:  Hello there felines.  Happy Groundhog Day to you all!  I see from the interwebs that some of you are experiencing some very crazy weather and snow today, so please take care to stay warm.  Stay cuddled with your favorite cat toy preferably in a toasty spot.  So, joining me via webcam to give a Groundhog Day report is my little buddy Stan, who happens to be the world's smallest sheep.  For any new Audience members you can read my first interview with Stan The World's Smallest Sheep on a previous post.  Presently, Stan is out in Alberta where he attended the Annual Groundhog Day Breakfast and waited on Balzac Billy's prediction.  So Stan, I can't take the suspense any longer...what happened?

Stan:  Hola Cloon, it was a very interesting morning!  Balzac Billy crawled out of his hole then ran right back in after seeing his shadow.

Cloon:  Oh, oh.  Theese bodes ill for Western Canada.  We don't likes to hear that we gets six more weeks of winter...So Stan, how was that catered breakfast over there?  How about those pancakes?

Stan:  I'm following a pretty strict diet of leaves right now so I didn't sample the pancakes.  My friends and I (see above photo) hung out eating foliage, drinking water and taking in the festivities.  We thought the musical performance was really enjoyable.

Cloon:  My poor little buddy.  At least if you ate Num-Nums, it would make it more interesting for ya...Now I understand that Ontario's Wiarton Willie, Nova Scotia's Shubenacadie Sam and Pennsylvania's Punxsutawney Phil  predicted just the opposite of Balzac Billy.  They all did not see any shadows and hung around for the festivities and pancakes so that means an early spring out in theese areas.

Stan: Correctamundo Cloon.

Cloon:  Well thanks so much for the report Stan.  Now take care of yourself little guy.  I'd suggest you put on that little toque "Girlfriend" knitted you a while back, get under a blankie somewhere and relax with a hot toddy.

Stan: Si si amigo!

(Stan heads off to make his hot "beverage" and get cosy...)
